Where Muscle is manufactured ...
MSF Gym is fully equipped with two commericial (12 gauge) steel Nautilus-style machines,
dumbbells, fully functional dumbbell rack [5lb - 55lb] and Olympic weightlifting bar. Carpet pro-
vides a safe, non-slip floor to exercise on.  The gym is complete with nearly 45-feet of mirror
(necessary for watching yourself exercise as well as posing for bodybuilders), CD/iPod player,
whiteboard (for explaining exercise movements, reps, sets and nutritional education), and a wall
covered in fitness, nutrition, bodybuilding and historical photos.

    Benefits
The benefits of training in a private gym are numerous.

  • First, personal attention.  One-on-one personal
training doesn't have the stigma, noise and embaras-
    ment of a large gym;
  • Second, safety. All machines are commercial-grade,
12-gauge steel; all exercises are attended.  You will
never lift alone or lift a weight that is too heavy.  Ac-
cidents occur at the larger gyms when clients are told
    to lift too much weight (by personal trainers);
  • Third, personal bathroom, changing area, fridge,
client locker, shower.  We provide free soap,
towels, shampoo and body wash.  Just put your stuff
in your own stowage compartment, change and your
ready to workout.  Doors to bathroom and shower
lock, affording complete and total privacy. Your car is
    parked in our private garage.
  • Fourth, cleanliness.  Our machines and equipment are
cleaned after each individual use.  Local "Walmart"-
style gyms may carry bacterial infection (Ecoli, feces,
staph/aerus bacteria, etc.) much of which has been dis-
    cussed on the internet.
  • Fifth - music.  No workout is complete without your
choice of music: bring your own CD or iPod. Music
can be played as loud as you like ... or no music at all.
  • Lastly - results.  I train here!  It's where I've built my
body since taking up weight lifting full time.  My greatest
gains have been made within the confines of these walls.

The Lift Fitness G2 Exercise Machine
The largest piece of equipment is the Life Fitness G2 Fitness
System, with a 160lb weight stack, capable of over twenty
independent exercises hitting the traps, deltoids (shoulders),
pectorals (chest), biceps, forearms, lats, back and abdominals
(abs) as well as the legs (hams and quads) with a wide range
of motion (ROM).  A proper Nautilus-style machine must
have a ROM that is adaptable to the core, strength exercises
necessary for building muscle and have the proper ergonomic
connections to the weight stack to ensure proper, weighted
    resistance.

    Magnum 500 "Y" Bench
To build a gargantuan chest, there must be two requirements:
safety and isolation.  We chose the Magnum 500 "Y" Bench
(purchased from Bally's in 2005) because of its attached,
plate-loaded, y-shaped bar exclusively for safety.  We consider this to be the finest machine bench
on the market today.  Capable of 450lbs of solid, iron plates it is height adjustable.  Stand-alone
bench presses are unsafe (it is easy to overextend and injure the deltoid), require an experienced
spotter and does not allow the lifter to safely lift to his/her maximum.  The Magnum 500 allows full
ROM (range of motion) for chest, hits the middle and lower pectorals with the conclusion (lock out)
of the movement creating definition and striation in the chest cavity.

    Dumbells and Barbell
No gym is complete without real, authentic,
iron dumbbells and the ubiquitous barbell.
Dumbbells are used in the basic, core,
strength exercises, ranging from presses, curls
and kickbacks and the barbell is used for
    military presses and curls.

    The Life Fitness G2.
Purchased December, 2009, the LF G2 is the
top of the line multi-function fitness bench,
complete with chest press, leg extension,
rotating chest fly and pull down, as well as a
    full back press and spread!

    Amenities
There is a private client bathroom with
shower, private changing room (cubby hole to
keep your shoes, lifting gloves, etc.).  MSF
Gym provides shampoo, fresh Dove body
soap and body wash,  fresh towels, water and
a small fridge to hold your meals or protein
    shake.

    Conclusion
Many of my clients were intimidated by the
large gyms and felt embarrassed doing duck
walks and lunges across on open floor by a
personal trainer who did not know them or
really give a damn whether they succeeded or
failed.  When we moved to our new location
in the Galleria we transformed the downstairs
into a fully-functional, private gym, complete
    with private bathroom, shower and
changing area.  I use this gym each day for my
    workouts.

MSF Gym was designed with the interest of the client in mind in an atmosphere that allows the
client to learn and grow.   Bring your own CD or iPod, an enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
You'll find a cozy gym where you'll loose fat and gain muscle. MSF Gym is a place, my clients call
"home", where we joke around, have fun and build real muscle.  MSF Gym is a drawing board for
a new body and a healthy lifestyle.   It's my gym home and I think you'll find a home here as well.

I work out here ...

This is where I work out, each
day.  It is a two-room gym, part
of beautiful, two story townhouse
in the Galleria. It's where I
transform my body (and train
clients).  I can play my music,
concentrate on lifting and use the
mirrors to pose.  The most
important part of MSF Gym are
the mirrors!

For the client, its a safe,
private, location.
I have built a
solid core of 35 professional
clients (attorneys, clinicians,
business women and men) who
have made MSF Fitness their
home.
