SPRINTS
As many of you know, I abhor running!  It is not only a
waste of time but it damages the body and removes
precious muscle.  Simply compare the body of a short-
distance sprinter and long distance marathoner and you’ll
see.  The sprinter looks like a body builder / the marathoner
looks as though he just passed through Auschwitz.  That is
why I tell people not to run!

For cardio, I go to Memorial Park or Allen Parkway three (3)
times a week to run sprints.  The track around Memorial
Park is 3 miles long; 4 miles around Allen Parkway.

This is my routine M-W-F:

  • •        Stretch for ten minutes (no more);
  • •        Walk the first ½ mile at a normal pace;
  • •        Sprint 20-30 meters;
  • •        Go back to walking – roughly a 1/3 mile;
  • •        Sprint 20-30 meters.
  • •        Continue doing this until you reach 6-10 sprints.

The benefits of sprinting are:

  • Its the greatest form of fat reduction outside of
    wrestling;
  • You will not lose muscle mass or size;
  • It’s an incredible cardio workout;you will reach your
    zone.
  • You will increase the size of your quadriceps.
  • You will lower your body fat on your abdominals and
    create definition and striation.
